Stableford is a popular scoring format where you play against the par of each hole, earning points based on your net score. Unlike stroke play, one bad hole won't ruin your round, as the worst you can score is zero points.
How to Work Out Stableford Points
This Stableford scoring calculator simplifies the process. Enter your Course Handicap, then for each hole, fill in the Par, Stroke Index (SI), and your gross score. We'll automatically calculate the points for each hole and give you your total. The system awards points based on your score relative to the net par of the hole (par adjusted for your handicap strokes).
Stableford Scoring with a High Handicap (e.g., 32)
The Stableford system works brilliantly for players of all abilities. If you have a high handicap, like a Stableford scoring 32 handicap, you'll receive more strokes. A handicap of 32 means you get one shot on every hole (SI 1-18) and a second shot on the 14 hardest holes (SI 1-14). Our calculator handles these adjustments automatically, ensuring you get the correct points for your score.
